One Last Note
I used to have a very simple view on food...if I wanted to eat healthily enough to drop a few pounds, I had to eat salads and bland chicken breasts. UGH!
One of our missions is to change that way of thinking.
Fitter @ 50 is proof that food can be good for you AND taste great.
As a leader in the healthy eating / healthy living space for over 20 years, Marks used to get razzed about what he ate all the time. But as he ages, things have changed. The teasing has stopped and it's now admiration and curiosity as he's often asked what he eats to stay fit at fifty.
In an attempt to capture the 'what', I followed Marks around our kitchen for weeks. Asking questions, noting quantities and otherwise being a pest as we figured out how to bring his meal creations to life in an organized cookbook type of style.
Then....the recipes had to meet stringent Fitter @ 50 requirements:
1. Must taste great
2. MUST be low in sugar
3. Have few processed carbohydrates
4. Contain healthy fats as much as possible
5. Contain TONS of veggies
